Annual 9-11 Memorial Ride and Service to Benefit Honour House British Columbia

Hundreds of First Responders and Municipal and provincial / State officials from B.C. and Washington State will join & welcome five First Responder Heroes from New York and New Jersey USA as they join the Ride to Remember, at the annual 9-11 Memorial Ceremony Thursday September 11th at Peace Arch Park, Surrey, British Columbia.

Vancouver, BC, September 2, 2014: Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts, first responders, Border, Customs, and VIP guests will be joining 2 unique motorcycle processions and converge in unison at the Peace Arch Provincial Park to honour and pay tribute to those who gave their all on that fateful day, September 11th, 2001.
Two separate rides will meet at 6 am in Canada at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, BC and in America at the Swinomish Casino Lodge in Anacortes for a spectacular breakfast followed by a formal police-escorted procession to the Peace Arch ceremony. Joining motorcycle enthusiasts will be a cavalcade of new and antique first responder vehicles, and dignitaries including The BC provincial Speaker of the House and the newly appointed US Consul General to British Columbia.

There will be five guests of honour who have been invited at no cost to them to participate in the ride and service and represent their fallen comrades and all who perished on September 11th, 2001. The VIP First Responder Dignitaries representing various agencies including the NY and NJ Port Authority, NYC Police, NYC Paramedics, NYC Fire are: Antonia Amor, Steven Goldstein, Marna Rann, Craig Wagner and Kathy Brown.

The 9-11 Memorial Ride and Committee is made up of dedicated first responders, border, customs, and civilians from America and Canada who collectively volunteer to continue this important service and ride that was founded by Guy Morall in 2002.

Participants are requested to donate a minimum of $20 to offset travel costs for the dignitaries and to raise funds for Honour House www.honourhouse.ca Media are invited and welcome to participate in the ride and service.
